Block heaters are used widely use in Chemical, Biochemical, Clinical, environmental and other General Labs for heating, digesting, incubating, concentrating and other heating processes.
There are two major types of the Block Heaters: Analogue and Digital. The Analog types have lower temperature range (room temp+ 10˚C to 130 ˚C) and digital models have higher temperature range (room temp+ 10˚C to 200 ˚C).The Analogue models are most economical and often used in education and suitable for long term run at a set temperature.
The Digital models have more sophisticate functions:
– Advanced PID temperature control and display of both set and actual temperature
– User Calibration function. After calibration, the display will reflect actual sample tubes or block temperature.
The BH 602T can separately control two different blocks with different temperature setting.
There are models that accommodate a single block for personal use, two block, and three and even four blocks for higher throughput
Various Block inserts can be chosen for different tubes and need to be ordered separately. The BH 601 needs one block insert; BH 602, 602D, and 602T require two block inserts; BH 603A and BH 603D require three block inserts; and BH 604A and BH 604D require four block inserts.
All of the block heaters come with the block removal tool.
